Hi, I'm Bill
Partner & Lead Financial Planner
Money touches nearly every part of our lives — our families, careers, opportunities, retirement, and peace of mind. I became a financial advisor because I enjoy helping people bring clarity and confidence to those decisions so they can spend less time worrying about finances and more time focused on the people and priorities that matter most to them.
I work with entrepreneurs, retirees, and families who want to simplify their financial lives, lower taxes, and make thoughtful long-term financial decisions with greater confidence. For many business owners, that also means helping maximize the value of their most important asset — their business — while building a financial plan that supports both their family and future goals.
As both an entrepreneur and advisor myself, I believe financial planning works best when every part of your financial life is coordinated together. My goal is to provide customized financial planning, investment management, and proactive tax planning under one roof.
I especially enjoy helping clients navigate major life transitions. For business owners, that may involve business growth, succession planning, or preparing for an eventual sale. For retirees and those approaching retirement, it often means transitioning from building wealth to using it intentionally — creating sustainable retirement income, improving tax efficiency, and gaining confidence that your finances can support the life you want to live.
I hold a B.B.A. in Finance from University of St. Thomas and a Master of Business Taxation (MBT) from the Carlson School of Management. I am a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, and Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA), with additional experience in business valuation and exit planning.
My professional involvement includes:
Member, Legislative Issues Committee — Minnesota Society of CPAs (MNCPA)
Member, Fiscal Policy Committee — Minnesota Chamber of Commerce
Member, Workplace Management Policy Committee — Minnesota Chamber of Commerce
Member, National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA)
Member, XY Planning Network
Member, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA)
Member, Minnesota Society of CPAs (MNCPA)
As a fee-only, fiduciary, and independent financial advisor, I am never paid commissions and have a legal obligation to provide advice that is in my clients’ best interests.
I live in Chaska with my wife Kelly, our sons Conor and Finn, and our yellow lab, Max. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family, golfing, hiking, reading, and taking road trips out west to visit national parks. I also like to think that someday I’ll finally become handy around the house, though progress on that goal has admittedly been pretty slow.
Favorite Hike: Observation Point is a beautiful hike in Zion National Park that brings you to one of the highest points in the park overlooking the main valley. Kelly and I have visited all of the national parks in Utah, and this hike is my absolute favorite.
Bucket List Travel Destination: The list is too long! But if I had to pick one, I would say Scotland. My passions are golfing and hiking. With the Scottish Highlands and the Old Course at St. Andrews, it would check both boxes.
